MACS Plasterboard Systems has been named a finalist to win an award which recognises contributions made within greater Luton in Bedfordshire.

The “Love Luton” awards are given annually to organisations (either commercial or not for profit) which are based in Luton and who are able demonstrate their support and commitment to the local community.

MACS Plasterboard Systems are finalists to be named this year’s ‘Love Luton’ Community Company of the Year.

“Being named a finalist in the ‘Love Luton’ awards is very special, both personally and also to our company,” says MACS Plasterboard Systems CEO Tom McLoughlin. “I was raised in the Farley Hill area of Luton and my roots lie deep within Luton. Our company is headquartered on High Town Road.”

“I am grateful that the work and efforts of MACS in supporting the local community is being recognised”, says McLoughlin, “An important part of our corporate sustainability pledge is that we endeavour to help others, just as others have helped us in our lives”.

‘Love Luton’ is run by a steering group that is filled with people from local businesses, community groups and the local government.

The Chair of ‘Love Luton’ this year is Linsey Frostick, Regional Marketing Manager for Arriva, and the Vice-Chair is Melissa Croley, Marketing and Communications Manager at Keepmoat Group.

The ‘Love Luton’ awards evening will be held at The Luton Hoo Hotel on Friday, November 24th 2017.
