The health and safety of all our employees, sub-contractors and the general public is a key concern of MACS Plasterboard Systems.

We therefore actively promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the company and constantly reinforce our goal of obtaining a perfectly safe and healthy work environment.

We have established procedures and systems to manage health and safety and provide detailed risk assessments for all our site operatives.

We regularly conduct health & safety site inspections of our sites and provide high-quality training.

We identify and manage health and safety risks and the reporting of safety observations and incidents on our jobsites is mandatory.

We seek and follow competent advice and we monitor report and review performance on an ongoing basis as we take safety to the highest level.

Our management systems are reviewed regularly and updated to improve safety performance. Employees at all levels are engaged and consulted in order that we can continue to improve our Health and Safety procedures.

Health and Safety Advice

The company use an independent Health and Safety Consultant who regularly inspects the sites continually measuring, monitoring and improving health and safety matters. All sites are graded and monthly reports compiled therefore helping them to measure and improve procedures. The Consultant would communicate all new Legislations, issues, ideas and changes via the Management team and Site team meetings. Various training is also provided to support and enhance their skills and knowledge.

Health and Safety Accreditations

MACS have been accredited with the Certificate of Commitment Gold Award from Construction Skills. This is in recognition of the Site Operatives having a CSCS qualification and showing that the company is committed to improving competence in construction.

SAFEMARK scheme. MACS have successfully demonstrated the required level of competence and have therefore achieved accreditation to the NHBC Health and Safety Competence Assessment Scheme for Contractors.

Health and Safety Training

The Company accepts its responsibility to ensure that employees and Operatives are adequately trained in order to carry out their duties safely. The Director with responsibility for safety shall ensure that a review of the training is carried out and continually monitored and assessed.

Therefore the company take Health and Safety training very seriously and have invested in various training to improve performance and encourage the growth of a positive Health and Safety culture.
